Island hopping, soul nourishing, sunset chasing, beach walking, community making, and yoga in one of the world’s most beautiful archipelagos

Wake up your sleepy body and soul with this vibrant, sun-filled yoga retreat in the Palawan islands.

Palawan Island—often call the last frontier of the Philippines—is hard to beat for island hopping, snorkeling, beautiful beaches, delicious food and friendly vibes. Yogascapes visited some of the fanciest resorts in Palawan to plan this trip, but they lacked the character, the intimacy, and special touches that makes these retreats so unique. So, you'll be going off the beaten path for some rustic private island hopping love full of character, amazing food, snorkeling from your own private beach and more.

You'll enjoy a private island escape with white sand beaches and crystal clear water, daily movement classes with an amazing teacher, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, snorkeling and swimming every day, and delicious family style meals with old and new friends.

If you’re looking for a 5 star, cush, bland, environmentally abusive retreat in Palawan, take this off your list. If you’re looking for an experience with amazing people you’ll never forget, you’re in the right place!

Gloria Baraquio

A yogini from Hawaii, Gloria began her practice in 2003 and after experiencing her ujjayi breath for the first time in a yoga class, she finally understood the importance of breathing and how it could calm, center, and ground her life. She began teaching in 2006 and embarked on a journey through vinyasa, ashtanga, Iyengar, hatha, bhakti, kundalini, somatics, ecstatic dance, Nia, Rolfing, acupuncture, physical theater, and natural foods, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the body, mind, voice, movement, and nutrition. Living both on and off the grid of the Big Island for 7 years was her greatest training in spiritual practice, yoga, natural healing, and community building. She is certified to teach vinyasa and aerial yoga, and she is a Lead Teacher Trainer for Shivakali Yoga.

Two comfortable, quiet island locations for all your retreat adventures.

Your first stop on the retreat is just north of the most touristy destination in Palawan, where you’ll have your own private island for 3 nights. This area because is a bit away from the crowds with great access to many of the spots that people call their favorites.

You'll then head to Floral island, where you’ll enjoy another private island with a covered yoga space to dive a bit deeper into practices. You'll end the trip with some deep rest, relaxation, and adventure.
