Overview

Dive into the most magnificent places in Iceland and the most powerful parts of the human spirit during this eight day retreat. You’ll start by exploring Reykjavik then head north into the enchanting winter wonderland with the ultimate goal of seeing the Northern Lights. While your head is tilted up to the sky, your body will stay grounded with daily, centering yoga classes. You'll sink into the healing and waters of the hot springs and awe inspiring glaciers.

Jason Bowman

Jason Bowman is a writer and yoga teacher in San Francisco. His practice and teaching have been greatly influenced by Ashtanga Yoga as he’s learned it from Richard Freeman and Maty Ezraty and Vipassana Meditation as he’s learned it from SN Goenka. He has completed several trainings and silent retreats as well as years of practice with all three teachers. The impression they’ve left can be felt in his strong ability to teach the physical practice alongside the philosophical with insight and character.

Jason has excelled in providing instruction and continuing education to teachers and various yoga communities. He has led several Yoga Alliance Certified teacher trainings as well as regular immersions, workshops, retreats and guest lecture series both at home and around the country. He is known for his ability to be thorough while maintaining a light-hearted sense of humor. His classes encourage a personal examination of the space between theory and direct experience and his love for the practice shines through in his ability to teach with a concrete yet creative voice. Jason has a keen eye for detail and his classes are consistently fun and challenging while always in tune with the underlying internal inquiry that makes the practice so beautiful.

    Unwind after your arrival with a visit to the hot springs.

    Day

    Jumpstart your day with a rejuvenating yoga session before kicking back for some free time followed by an afternoon glacier tour. While in Reykjavik you will be staying at the Iceland Marina with waterfront views.

    Day

    Start the day with a morning yoga session before spending your free day exploring Reykjavík, followed by an afternoon yoga session.

    Enjoy a relaxing visit to the Myvatn Nature Baths followed by an afternoon yoga session. Move locations and spend your evening stargazing at Ravenhill, a tucked away mountain cabin immersed in Iceland's beauty.

    Start the day with morning yoga and then enjoy an optional visit to the Kaldi Beer Spa or Whale Watching experience before the afternoon yoga session.

    Start the day with morning yoga and then spend your free time soaking in the last of Iceland before your final afternoon yoga session.

    Depart for Reykjavík/airport with provided transfer.

Overview

After arriving in Keflavik and visiting the Blue Lagoon, you’ll spend three nights in in Reykjavik in hand-selected private apartments. Practice yoga at the local studio, eat delicious food, and explore the night life of this dazzling city.

You'll then stay at the Raven Hill for three nights. Surround yourself in the serene Icelandic windernes while you hike to hot springs and discover waterfalls at this magnificent locale.
