Project Change

A journey of self exploration in new and inspiring places.

Project Change is a journey of self-exploration in new and inspiring places. You may be stuck, unhappy, stressed or simply love yoga, travel, running and want to be your better self.

It's difficult to create change in our everyday lives, without stepping out of our comfort zones; it's through this philosophy that Project Change evolved.

With Project Change, you'll achieve personal development and awareness through sustainable travel, elephant conservation and thought-provoking adventures using elemental yoga therapy, coaching, running, mindfulness, surfing/SUP and food. The Plan

  • 1

After arriving in Sri Lanka, Colombo by 4:00PM, you'll transfer to your first hotel. Then, once you’ve settled in to your beautiful accommodation, you’ll unwind with a gentle yin yoga class and meditation followed by a candlelit welcome ceremony. Then, you'll sit down for a delicious buffet dinner full of local delicacies.

  • 2

Ease into the retreat with a grounding sunrise yoga practice embodying the Earth element, followed by breakfast. Then you'll head out on a boat down the Dutch canal exploring the mangrove system, whilst the fisherman return with their daily catch. You'll complete the boat ride with a group mindfulness practice before making your way to Dambulla Cave temple and then on to Sigiriya Rock. End the day with a restorative Yin yoga practice and self-reflection workshop before dinner.

  • 3

After a revitalising yoga session —embodying the Earth & Water elements—and a delicious breakfast, you'll head out on an adventure to an Elephant Conservation Project, where you'll spend two days and nights getting your hands dirty supporting the local community to tackle human/elephant conflict. Connecting back to nature and interacting with the raw and real conflicts of life in Sri Lanka will facilitate true reflection of your own situation. Various coaching and mindfulness sessions will be weaved into the daily activities of these two days.

  • 4

Wake up with a sunrise run, Yang yoga class, a walk to hear the birds and local wildlife waking up, or just relax. The day will continue with more conservation work, looking at elephant migration routes, and the threats faced by farmers and local communities. Finishing the day with an evening Yin class to unwind whilst looking out across the beautiful reservoir.

  • 5

Morning Yang yoga embracing the Fire element - really getting into the heat of the project before making your way to Ella. Once you've settled into your new accommodation and enjoyed a hearty lunch, you'll spend the afternoon in a creative coaching workshop. The workshop will focus on self-development through identifying bad habits, tolerances and energy zappers that you want to transform. As the sun starts to set you'll finish the day with a relaxing Yin yoga class and a tasty dinner.

  • 6

After a beautiful morning waking up in the hills of Ella, you'll then be on your way to the final destination of our Sri Lankan adventure, ending our trip in a peaceful coastal paradise. Time to walk barefoot, gaze into the turquoise ocean, feel the sea breeze, sit back and relax under the sunset. These last three days are focused on self-reflection and space to focus on creating positive action to take back into your everyday life.

  • 7

Start the day with an early morning run or relax in your beautiful beach side accommodation before your Air and Space yoga session begins. Then, participate in a range of coaching and development sessions throughout the day to go deeper into the journey you've been on.

  • 8

A similar start to yesterday with healthy, active and relaxing options, including a Space and Earth Yoga session. Surfing options available after breakfast, then, following lunch, one of the last group sessions to complete your journey of self exploration. The last night ends with a lovely closing ceremony and incredible farewell dinner.

  • 9

Enjoy a final tasty breakfast before your departure. Transfer to the airport.
