Between the action, you'll wake for stunning sunsets over the Annapurna mountains, wild camp under the light of the stars and explore rural villages like the super-serene Sirubari, where you'll be welcomed by locals with time to retreat and relax.

The Plan

  • 1
    On arrival

Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, where you'll be greeted and taken to your hotel for a welcome meal with your fellow rafters.

  • 2

Get a feel for the area and explore the Kathmandu Valley with visits to city squares, magnificent temples, and take in outstanding panoramic views of mountains and cityscapes.

  • 3

Leave early by bus to river Trisuli before taking to the river for an afternoon rafting and a picnic lunch on an unspoiled beach. After lunch you'll head back out onto the river before relaxing round the campfire with hot chocolate.

  • 4

The second day rafting on the Trisuli is much more leisurely. The river is a bit calmer, giving you the opportunity to kayak too. After lunch you'll spend a chilled evening in Pokhara, where you'll stay at a hotel and head out for dinner.

  • 5

You'll have breakfast and leave Pokhara early in the morning for the jungle-lined Lower Seti for an easy day of rafting, stopping for lunch and finishing the day by camping on a secluded beach.

  • 6

Wake up to a fresh coffee and breakfast before heading out for a day of rafting. Work your way through the rapids and beautiful scenery (where you'll have the option to swim) before rafting into the Trisuli. The day ends at a hotel in Pakhora.

  • 7

Starting early in the morning you'll drive through the Himalayan foothills out to the starting point of the Kali Gandaki for some of the best rapids you'll ever experience - Big Brother and Little Bother, quickly followed by Rafter's Refund. Spend the night on a river beach in a stunning gorge lit by the light of a fire.

  • 8

After breakfast you'll dip straight into a class 4 rapid which sets the pace for the day to come. Take lunch break on a sandy beach to rest and refuel for the afternoon then camp on a river beach under the light of the stars once darkness descends.

  • 9

Your final day on the river is more leisurely. Spend the morning playing on some waves before the water flattens out as you approach the dam. On this stretch you can kayak, swim or begin to guide the raft. After lunch you'll head to Pokhara where you'll spend the night in a hotel and eat out.

  • 10

Rest up in the morning with some free time to sleep in or explore the lakeside before heading through the Himalayan foothills to Sirubari where you'll be greeted by your Nepalese hosts at your home-stay. Immerse fully and rub shoulders with the locals tonight by wandering around the rural village.

  • 11

Spend the day exploring the local area and hike to the top of a mountain for panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountains, and visit the monks at the top. Tonight, the entire village turns out to welcome us with a celebration with singing and dancing!

  • 12

Say goodbye to your hosts and either 4x4 it or trek down to Pokhara past an incredible mountain ridge and breath-taking scenery. You'll drive the rest of the way to Pokhara before chilling at the hotel and heading out for dinner.

  • 13

Wake before sunrise to catch the sun come up over Annapurna then hike down to Lakeside for breakfast. Spend the rest of your day touring Pokhara. Visit the World Peace Pagoda, paddle across Fewa Lake, and see the torrent of the Seti canyon. Go shopping or enjoy the spa and take some down time.

  • 14

Enjoy a final breakfast in Pokhara before driving back to Kathmandu. The drive takes all day (approx. 9am - 4pm). You'll stop for lunch and leg-stretching breaks along the way but today's highlight is your farewell feast.
